Electronic Arts has just announced that it will not be bringing Star Wars: Episode III to Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
According to EA’s statement, the company is “not considering releasing a Star Wars game on Xbox Live Arcade.”
Electronic Arts’ decision to not include the game on either platform is understandable given that EA is not the publisher of the original Star Wars trilogy.
EA has also decided to avoid releasing any more Star Wars games.
The company has released five games since the first Star Wars, and while that is certainly a good sign, it’s also not surprising that they’re not looking to re-release any of them.
Electronic Arts also has a new Star Wars title in development called The Crew, which is being developed by Epic Games.
Electronic, Epic, and Lucasfilm Games have all been developing Star Wars-related projects in-house for the last few years.
It’s no surprise that they haven’t announced a Star War game in the near future.
The Crew was announced on October 16, but the game is currently in the works at Electronic Arts.
EA’s announcement does not specify which platforms it is targeting with its decision, but it’s likely to be Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Electronic is still considering other options, such as bringing Star War to iOS or Android.
