The Chargers are trying to get a new chip into the market as soon as next year, and it’s expected to be one of the chips that will power the new iPhone 5S and LG G5, two companies with significant chip experience.
LG has already built a small, low-power, 16nm-based chip into its next flagship, the G5.
The Chargers have been looking at chip makers to fill that role.”LG’s the first to bring that technology to market,” said Kevin Plank, vice president of product development at Qualcomm, which manufactures chips in the high-end chips market.
The chipmaker also is expected to introduce a new version of its next generation smartphone, the Snapdragon 835, in 2016.
LG also has a large chip business with semiconductors for its smartwatch and the new LG G4.
Plank says Qualcomm’s chips are more cost-effective and produce smaller and more power efficient.
Qualcomm also has partnerships with companies like Samsung and Sony.
Qualcomm chips are smaller, less power-hungry and produce lower power consumption than a rival chip, according to Plank.
Qualcomm, a company that was founded in 2006, now sells chips for Samsung, LG, Apple, Huawei, and others.
Qualcomm is also working with a host of companies to develop chips for smartwatches, including Apple, Samsung and Motorola.
Plink said Qualcomm and Samsung are also in the process of launching a new range of smartphones that will run on Qualcomm chips.
Qualcomm and its partners are working on a new high-performance graphics chip, called the Gauss, to power future devices.
Qualcomm’s new chip, which will be the first chip to be integrated into the next iPhone, will be available for a few years, Plank said.
He did not say when the chip might be available.
LG is also developing chips for phones, including the G3 and G4, but Plank would not give any specific dates.
LG did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
“LG and Samsung have had a long and successful relationship, and we are excited to have a new technology partner like Qualcomm on board to accelerate our relationship to bring LG’s next-generation product to market in the market,” Qualcomm said in a statement.
“This is another step in our growing relationship with LG, and a key to our continued success.”
Qualcomm declined to comment on how many chips it has in its chip business.
LG and Samsung, along with several other chipmakers, are the biggest players in the chip business, accounting for about 80 percent of the world’s chip sales.
LG, a division of South Korea’s LG Electronics, is the world leader in semiconductor chips, making products for mobile phones and other devices.
Samsung is the global leader in mobile semiconducting, making chips for smartphones and other electronics.
LG Electronics is a unit of South Korean conglomerate LG Electronics Group, which owns and operates the Samsung Electronics brand.
Qualcomm started selling chips in smartphones as far back as the early 2000s, and its chips are used in some of the most popular devices, including Samsung’s Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 5.
The new iPhone, with its large display and new processor, will have a larger display and a higher-powered processor than the S5, but it will also be powered by a lower-power Qualcomm chip, a version that has never been used in smartphones before.
The Qualcomm chip will also have a slightly smaller battery than the Galaxy Note 4, Plink says.
LG’s Gauss chip will be a bit more power-efficient than the Samsung chips that are in use now, but that’s not enough to give it the edge over the next-gen iPhone.
The G5 has a larger battery than Samsung’s new phone, but the G4 has a smaller battery.
Qualcomm has been making chips in its Snapdragon 837-based chips for several years.
The company also has been working with Samsung and Huawei to develop next-grade chips for next-Generation smartphones.
Qualcomm will have chips for its next-Gen devices and other mobile chips, including for cameras and other sensor applications.
Qualcomm said that the Snapdragon chips will be ready for commercial use by 2020.
The Snapdragon 836 chip, developed by Qualcomm and based on its Gauss technology, will provide a new and better-performing processor and power management technology that should make the Snapdragon chip a more power friendly chip for smartphones, Plack said.
Plinki said that LG and Qualcomm have worked together to get the chip into market in a timely manner.
Plinsky added that Qualcomm is developing chips to power the next generation iPhone and Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, which have smaller batteries and smaller screens.
The chips will also run on the Snapdragon 820 processor, which is the most power-optimized chip Qualcomm has made for mobile devices.
