So, the key question is, is silver a good candidate for replacing platinum?
That’s what researchers did to find out.
They took a look at the chemistry of silver, and found that it contains a large number of heavy elements, including two of the three heavy elements used to make platinum.
That means the metal can be made into a replacement, and it’s likely to be toxic in some applications.
There are some caveats though.
Silver is also a relatively heavy metal, meaning it has more than a few atoms of a heavier metal, which is what makes it toxic.
According to the study, there are about 10 to 20 elements that can give silver a value added that makes it potentially useful as a substitute for platinum: Vapors of silver and platinum.
